The Thermaseal attic process

1. Inspect. Current depth, air leaks, ventilation and any moisture or critter history - documented with photos.
2. Air seal. Top plates, wire and pipe chases, light boxes and the attic hatch - the leaks insulation alone can't stop.
3. Baffle and dam. Soffit ventilation protected, heat sources dammed safely.
4. Blow. Fresh fiberglass or cellulose to modern R-value, depth-marked and photographed.
5. Prove it. You get before/after photos and the depth markers stay visible.

Why sealing first matters

Insulation slows heat; it doesn't stop air. Warm air rockets through every ceiling gap year-round, and blowing more fluff over leaks just filters the escaping air. Sealing first is the industry-correct sequence - it's more work, most quotes skip it, and it's half the benefit. Ours never skips it.

A typical under-insulated attic done right shows up on the next utility bill - and in bedrooms that finally hold temperature.
